Texas security company Access Technology Systems asked me to create a series of product renders for their new RFID card reading system. The renders were used in their marketing materials, including a Spanish language technical brochure that I also designed.
Working from photographic reference images, the various components were modelled using simple poly modelling techniques. When it came to rendering the product, the most notable challenge was simulating the anisotropic reflections on the three LED buttons.
The iTech i12 is another product by Texas security company Access Technology Systems. They required a number of product visualisations to be used as part of their sales material.
A highly detailed model that included individual screws and visible manufacturing seams was created, and photographic textures were used for the various labels. The scene was rendered using HDRI lighting and reflections, and this provided softer lighting compared to a typical studio setup - this was deemed more pleasing on the eye and also more suitable for marketing the product.
